Hi Everyone!! A while back, I had the chance to get my hair braided in Barbados. Getting my hair braided as a black woman is absolutely nothing new to me. Ever since I was a little girl, I've always had my hair braided in millions of styles...but for some reason, something really intrigued me about getting my hair braided here. Hair itself is a quite prevelant aspect in most lives of Black women. When I'm back home, I'm often faced with questions like: "Wow! Your hair grows up?" "Can I touch it?" "Does it grow long?" or comments like: "Wow- it feels like cotton candy!" "I thought black hair stopped growing at a certain length" and the list goes on and on.... But getting my hair here where majority of the population is black allowed me to expereince getting my hair done as "normal". It felt amazing!
